Established June 7, 1989
Name and Company Origin:
Our
Investigative Agency was born in 1975 and for years our investigators would
attempt to show our talent to the attorneys by serving papers that were
difficult and returned to their office by the local ‘Process Server’
companies as unable to serve. The problem was the attorneys did not want
pay any more than the minimal fee related to the normal service. In 1989 we
decided to separate the Process Serving from the investigative agency and
for the minimal fee give three ‘good’ attempts outside the ‘normal’ business
hours of 8am to 5pm and on that rare occasion when the service was not
completed return the papers to the law office with the option of hiring the
investigative agency on an hourly basis plus mileage. Our process server
would pick up the papers from the attorney’s office, serve them, and return
the affidavit of service to the attorney’s office along with the invoice.
In completing service our process server would identify the party and thank
them in leaving. ‘If’ the process server is still in the vicinity when the
person served realizes what they have been handed our process server simply
instructs the party to contact the attorney at the top of the page if they
have any questions.
This short and brief contact generated the name of:
‘HIT & RUN PROCESS SERVING’
Since 1989 we have served papers for
law offices, businesses, and individuals all across the United States of
America and the name identification has promoted more work for our main
source of income: Burr Investigation. Our minimum fee for service is $36.00
for the three good attempts. This amount usually covers the service of
documents, mileage up to thirty miles round trip, office copies, the
notarized affidavit of services, and mailing to the plaintiff. The client
is advised in advance if there is any additional mileage charge estimated.
The repeat business
tells us the customer is satisfied with our performance.
Our agency is networked
in every state in the United States by two national associations so we can
refer customers to Process Servers in the area the service of documents is
to take place.
